Toledo area provider of dermatology, Dr. Allison L. Kouba. Dr. Allison Kouba received her Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and completed medical school at UTMC.
She completed her residency in the family practice at Flower Hospital and has over ten years of clinical experience. Dr. Allison Kouba received dermatology training directly from Dr. Kouba.

Kim Bushrow has been practicing with Dr. Kouba since 2011. Starting off at the Toledo Clinic, she followed Dr. Kouba to his private practice, Kouba Dermatology. She received her Masters degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 1999 after receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Premed from Pensacola Christian College in 1993. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Originally from California, Kim was a lab tech in the Army where she met and married her husband Ron who is a Toledo native. They have been married for 24 years and have three wonderful boys. When not at the office, Kim enjoys traveling, cooking and organizing.
Kim specializes In skin cancer screenings, surgery and laser hair removal and is currently accepting new patients in our Lambertville and Woodville offices.
Kim Bushrow, PA-C
As a lifelong native of the Toledo area, Holly Ruttan, Certified Nurse Practitioner, has worked with Dr. Kouba since 2016. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Toledo. Prior to dermatology, Holly spent 13 years working in Emergency Medicine at multiple hospitals in the area and around the United States.
Holly diagnoses and treats a multitude of dermatological conditions and performs minor surgeries and cosmetic procedures in the office. She specializes in skin cancer screenings, botox, lip fillers, laser hair, brown spot and vein removal. She is currently accepting new patients at our Lambertville location.

Christine acquired her undergraduate degree from the Medical College of Ohio in 2000. She then went on to receive her Masters in Nursing from the University of Toledo Medical Center in 2011, graduating with honors. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She then spent 5 years practicing in general medicine and acute care before joining Dr. Kouba's practice in 2017. For the next year, she was under the direct training of Dr. Kouba, specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. When not in the office, Christine enjoys spending time with her husband Adam, and their 4 children.
Christine Kuhlman, NP-C
Emily attended the University of Toledo for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2022. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has worked at Flower Hospital in acute care on the oncology and stroke unit for seven years. Emily has undergone a rigorous training program in dermatology under the supervision of Dr. David Kouba.
Emily grew up in Liberty Center and is excited to begin working in the local Defiance community. Her husband, Josh, is from Miller City and they currently live in Napoleon. They enjoy spending their free time together with family and friends.
Emily Niese, NP-C
Ashley was born and raised in the Findlay area. She attended Owens Community College and obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Walden University. She worked in the NW Ohio area as a Nurse for the first 11 years of her nursing career. She is Board Certified through the American Academy of Critical Care Nurses as a Nurse Practitioner since 2021. She worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital as a Hospitalist NP prior to transitioning to Dermatology.
She currently resides in Findlay with her husband, Jared and two boys. They enjoy spending their time with friends and family, watching their children play sports as well as camping on the weekends during the summer months.
Ashley Wilhelm, AGACNP
Madison Masters graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology before attending Wayne State University for a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, Madison moved back to the Toledo area and began working in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. However, a strong passion for Dermatology led to a career switch, driven by a long-standing interest in skin care. Before becoming a Physician Assistant, Madison even had the opportunity to job shadow with the office, which further solidified this career path.
Madison is excited about the opportunity to educate patients about the skin, an organ often taken for granted as our first line of defense against the outside world. With a background in sports and a family history of farming, Madison recognizes the importance of sun protection and is eager to share that knowledge with others. She is now accepting new patients in our Adrian and South Lyon offices.

Rosie Bryant, PA-C, earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Central Michigan University, where she completed a dedicated dermatology rotation. She is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care and enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients while helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
Originally from Michigan, Rosie spent part of her childhood living in Australia before returning to her home state. She recently moved to Ann Arbor with her fiancé and is proud to serve patients throughout southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio.
Rosie practices at our Lambertville office, where she specializes in caring for patients undergoing Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) for the treatment of skin cancer. She is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and ensuring every patient receives the support and attention they deserve throughout their treatment journey.

Selina is a dedicated Physician Assistant at Kouba Dermatology, where she provides compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on the detection and treatment of skin cancer. Her passion for dermatology began before physician assistant school while working as a medical assistant and scribe, experiences that inspired her commitment to helping patients achieve the best possible outcomes.
Selina earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, where she studied Kinesiology, Spanish, and Health Promotion, before completing her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Central Michigan University. She is proud to be part of the Kouba Dermatology team and enjoys caring for patients undergoing Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT) at our Adrian office.
Outside of the office, Selina enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with family and friends. She also holds dual citizenship with France, a unique part of her background that reflects her appreciation for different cultures and experiences.

Stephanie Frobose is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized dermatologic care. She brings extensive experience in both medical and surgical dermatology and is committed to helping patients achieve and maintain healthy skin through personalized treatment and education.
A Northwest Ohio native, Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Xavier University before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Youngstown State University in 2025. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Stephanie has worked in a variety of healthcare specialties throughout her nursing career and has specialized in dermatology since 2016. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a dermatology nurse, caring for patients in both general dermatology and Mohs surgery. These experiences strengthened her passion for dermatology and provided a strong foundation in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions.
Stephanie is proud to be part of the Kouba Dermatology team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with her patients while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to the communities we serve.
